Flying is the 5th episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! from Season 3. In this episode, Brobee and his friends go on a hot air balloon ride and meet a unicorn-giraffe named Sparkles.

• When we see DJ Lance Rock as Sparkles goes up solo, he does not say "Bye!", he only mouths it silently.
• Mark Mothersbaugh is absent in this episode too.
• This is Sparkles' 1st talking appearance.
• Super Mr. Superhero in person is absent in this episode.
• In the Dancey Dance segment, Martin is dressed as an angel, Samm is dressed as a butterfly, and John is dressed as an airplane.
• "Up, Up, and Away" is the only song not to be a Yo Gabba Gabba! original.
• At the end of the episode, DJ Lance Rock says, "I had so much fun today!" instead of "I had a great time today!".
• When the Yo Gabba gang flies with Sparkles, they see Barbara, a baby owl, which is Cheebo's favorite, birds, seagulls from Boat, butterflies, a bread bat, magic bubbles, a woodpecker in a plane, worms on paper planes, Lloyd the alien, a deer, and a single Oskie Bug in his spaceship.
• This is the first time the jingle occurred during the end instead of the beginning due to the Balloon Ride being in the end. The second will be in "Mermaids".
• This episode was filmed on the 2nd to 15th October 2009.
• Eden was filmed on the 3rd October 2009.
• Porter was filmed on the 9th October 2009.
• Brennen was filmed on the 15th October 2009.
• The Red Balloon song was mistaken by a jingle after it occurred during the very beginning where the jingle is supposed to happen (an example of Penny Osborne’s videos of the jingle's high tone was using The Red Balloon by Frequent Flyer in high tone and not the jingle Balloon Ride by Super Furry Animals. The Red Balloon by Frequent Flyer is not the jingle even though it felt like it).
• This episode and Clubhouse have the Dancey Dance segment before the jingle.
• In the Super Music Friends Show, the synthesizer's fanfare does not play in the Swami's song introduction.
• At the end of the DJ Lance Dance segment, DJ Lance Rock says, "Ah! The Whirly Bird is the word!".
• When Biz says, "Now practice this at home, and I'll see y'all next time, bye bye!", he could've said "Whee!", despite the fact that he has wings.
• In the Biz segment for this episode, Biz does not say, "Okay, here's Biz's beat of the day.", but instead, he says, "This beat will take you off your feet. Check it out, kids." as his greeting.
• At the end of the Dancey Dance, after John says, "Whoa!", Samm lets out an excited "Bye!" and Martin lets out a sad "Goodbye!" in B-flat as John mouths the same thing in a half-crazy, half-calm way.
• When Martin says, "Are you ready?", what Samm means is "I can't hear you!" and what John means is "Me neither!".
• When John says, "Go crazy!", the gang does not copy him.
• The Red Balloon is not to be confused with the film, which is originally titled: "Le ballon rouge" by the late Albert Lamorisse and the song from the seventh series of Thomas & Friends in memory of Britt Allcroft.
• The 4th Kid Who Doesn't Appear In This Episode Was Vera Sullivan.
• The episode shares the same title as the instrumental by the Beatles, which used to be as follows: John Lennon (d. 1980), Paul McCartney, George Harrison (d. 2001), and Richard Starkey.
• This is the Yo Gabba Gabba version of the Dora episode: "Sticky Tape".

Goofs

• When Martin and John say, "We're flying...", Samm doesn't say it.
