Notes[]
- There's no Mark's Magic Pictures segments in this episode. Though he made an appearance in the second song "Make It Yourself." He also appears during the Super Music Friends Show in "Fun."
- This is the 1st time the show did the following in season 4:
- The Oskie Bugs never appear in this season, but they appear in the first three.
- Larry & Edith are absent.
- Queen Oskie Bug & Lemony don't appear.
- Mr. Cactus & his cousin Alberto are absent.
- Super Martian Robot Girl doesn't appear in this season as well as season number 2.
- The guests in the choir are Leslie Hall, Muno's Mother, Riffington Dazzler, Gooble, Cheebo, Barbara, and the Elek alien; Ruth.
- This is the first time that Mark from the Mark's Magic Pictures segment sings, not counting "Fun."
- Instead of saying "YOOOO Gabba Gabba!" like usual, DJ Lance Rock says "YOOOO Gabba Gabba Very Awesome Christmas Special!" at the beginning. DJ Lance Rock (along with the Gabba gang, Gooble, Leslie Hall, and Santa) says "Ho Ho HOOOO Gabba Gabba!" at the end.
- In the credits, when the sky is dark, snowflakes fall and the credits are in green, not in black.
- This is sometimes known as "A Very Awesome Christmas Special!."
- Before the ending Megamix, instead of only DJ Lance saying "It's time to dance", Santa says the second part of the last line in "Now it's time to dance. Are you ready? Let's do it, break it down!" with DJ Lance Rock the first time. Brobee says it for the second time in question, and for the third time, it is said by the rest of the gang, minus Gooble.
- In the episode, Hudson Lyon narrated Douglas The Christmas Tree in the Storytime segment, but in the live stage show version of the special, Leslie Hall narrated the story before Douglas himself appeared afterwards.
- At the end of the episode, DJ Lance Rock says, "Thanks for playing with us today! Merry Christmas and happy holidays!" instead of "Thanks for playing with us! See you next time!".
- Mike and Matt Chapman, the writers for this Christmas special are also known for Homestar Runner, a famous webshow since the late 90's.
- There are two Super Music Friends Show songs in this special instead of one. One by the Cults and the other by My Chemical Romance.
- Tony's friend, Katie is not credited.
- Due to Cults' name being slightly inappropriate and hard to understand for the target audience, the group is addressed as "Madelyn, Brian and The Band". My Chemical Romance is also referred to as their nickname MCR.
- The plot of the episode later became the basis for A Very Awesome Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! Holiday Show!.
- This is the second time a Gabba thinks of nothing, following Talent.
- The ending Megamix only plays the first song ("Ready For Christmas") and "Christmas Is Upon Us" except "Make It Yourself" and "Holiday Lights" for some reason.
- Santa recaps the major parts of the episode, but DJ Lance Rock does not say “Yo! It’s almost time to go!” in this episode.
- This is The first Season 4 appearance of Gooble he appears as a cameo appearance; again this is the second cameo appearance of Gooble.
- DJ Lance Rock introduces the band as "Madelyn, Brian and The Band" in a calm, quiet voice.
- Matt Chapman, as the Super Music Friends Show announcer from Season 1, introduces Leslie Hall and the Gabba Land Choir.
Goofs[]
- When Toodee and Foofa are loading the fireplace, Foofa's left eye is bunched up at the bottom.
